Don't Shell out for crow decoys or on hide poles
« on: May 19, 2016, 09:54:02 pm »
Hi just a money saving tip, if you want to shoot crows and only have pigeon shell decoys, could work with full body ones. Go to your local supermarket that sell black socks the budget range get size 9 to 12 and cover pigeon decoys with them they work the same and you only have to shell out a couple of quid for socks instead of £3 or£4 quid a decoy once you shoot a few you can revert back to pigeon shells. Pictures show shell pigeon and bought flock coated crow decoy then shell in sock,if they get that close to notice the difference they should be dead or really scared, hope this helps

Yes here you go 4 hide poles to buy about £30.Try these £3 quid at B&Q put a lick of paint on and either a metal spike at bottom or like pic a bit of stick used them for years. Cheap as chips. On some i drilled a hole in to take a piece of bar so i could use it to push into harder ground with my foot not that we get a lot of that, one piece of bar for all poles just put it in as you need it.
